The delegation of PTI NAS of Belarus took part in the I Forum of Women Scientists “The Role of Women in Science and Education.” This large-scale event, initiated by the primary organizations of the Belarusian Union of Women of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Belarusian State University, was designed to popularize scientific activities among women, as well as strengthen professional interaction between researchers.

Within the framework of the plenary session, representatives of the scientific community and government bodies spoke. Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Vladimir Karanik and Chairman of the State Committee for Science and Technology Denis Korzhitsky addressed the participants with welcoming words.

After the plenary part, the work of the forum continued in thematic sections. Representatives of the institute took an active part in the work of section No. 2 “Materials of the future and technology.” During the meeting, the chief researcher, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor Maria Markevich presented a scientific report on the topic “Structure of nanomaterials and their application in microelectronics.”
