What is electrochemical treatment and what is it for?
Electrochemical treatment is a process in which a thin metal layer is formed on the surface of the product. This coating improves the mechanical characteristics of the material, protects against corrosion, and performs a decorative function.
There is an experimental production site at PTI NAS of Belarus which can offer zinc coating and chemical oxidation services.
Zinc coating is carried out in tubs on suspension (tub dimensions 1900x800x800 mm). At PTI NAS of Belarus we can also galvanize small parts in plating barrel (metal products and fasteners).
Types of zinc coatings: colorless, iridescent. The coating thickness is from 5 microns, at the customer’s request – up to 24 microns.
