From 03 to 07 April 2023, the management of KAMAZ (Naberezhnye Chelny, Russia) visited the Physical-Technical Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. During the visit, a visit to the production sites of the institute was organized in order to get acquainted with the available research and production equipment. In addition, the delegation visited a number of industrial enterprises: JSC “Minsk Gear Plant”, JSC “Forging Plant of Heavy Forgings”, JSC “Belkard”, JSC “Minsk Automobile Plant”, which introduced the developments of the institute.

As a result of the visit, a working meeting was held with the management of the Institute to discuss the issues of establishing cooperation between the Physical-technical institute and the Forging Plant  «KAMAZ». An agreement was reached on the development and manufacture of equipment and technologies for induction heating, the design of tools for cross-wedge rolling, the modification of die equipment using ion chemical-thermal treatment, as well as the surface hardening of products in the interests of «KAMAZ»
