On June 19 – 24, 2023, the PHYSICAL-TECHNICAL INSTITUTE took part in the 54th international industrial exhibition FIA, which was held in Algiers.

FIA is one of the leading exhibition events in Algiers. Every year, exhibitors from 40 countries of the world place and demonstrate the latest inventions and achievements in various fields of science, technology and industry.

The delegation of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus met with the first secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in Egypt I. E. Verigo and joint participation in the Belarusian-Algerian business forum held by the Algerian Chamber of Commerce.

During the exhibition, the Institute of Physics and Technology of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus presented information materials on the latest developments in the field of heat treatment of metals and alloys, as well as information on magnetic-pulse technologies for shaping and hardening surfaces, ion-plasma equipment and ceramic materials used in heating installations.

The representative of the Institute of Physics and Technology of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus also reached an agreement to maintain contacts and, when announcing joint scientific and technical projects Algeria-Belarus, to work out the possibility of implementing a joint project. Representatives of organizations Nadjmeddine Djebbari, University of Science and Technology of Algeria (USTHB), DARI DECO and SONATRACH showed interest in the developments presented by the FTI and future mutually beneficial cooperation.
