From January 18 to 26 2024 the director of the Physical-Technical Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Vitaly Zalessky, as part of the delegation of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, is taking part in the Bilateral Conference of High-Level Experts from China and Belarus 2024, as well as in events intended to expand cooperation in the field of technical sciences. This conference is organized by Harbin Polytechnic University.

  In the programme:

– participation in negotiations with the leadership of the Northwestern Polytechnic University;

– negotiations with the leadership of the Science City of Western China and the Chongqing Research Center of the Northwestern Polytechnic University;

– negotiations with the leadership of the Academy of Sciences of Heilongjiang Province;

– negotiations with the management of Harbin Polytechnic University and much more.

The purpose of this visit is to develop Belarusian-Chinese cooperation, including the implementation of joint projects with organizations of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus on a contract basis.

On January 20, Vitaly Zalessky made a report on the topic “Innovative industrial technologies and equipment for solving mechanical engineering problems” at the Bilateral Conference of High-Level Experts from China and Belarus 2024 in Xi’an. 

Negotiations with representatives of the Beijing Institute of Aviation Materials were held. During the meeting, three projects in the areas of heat treatment, nitriding and magnetic-pulse processing were discussed. They are planned to be launched this year.

A meeting with representatives of the Chinese Academy of Space Technology was held. Tthe possibility of developing electron beam welding technology for special materials was discussed. 

On January 22, Vitaly Zalessky as a part of a delegation of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, visited the Chongqing Research Center of the Northwestern Polytechnic University. During the visit, an agreement has been reeched  to develop cooperation with the Physical-Technical Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus in the field of chemical-thermal processing of metals and alloys.

On January 23, negotiations with Vice President Jiang Jinqi and representatives of Chongqing Machinery&Electronics Holding (Group) Co. Ltd. (CME) were held. As a result, scientific and technical cooperation agreement was signed between the Physical-Technical Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and CME. This agreement involves the implementation of fundamental and applied research and the creation of scientific and technical developments in the field of industrial technologies and surface engineering.
