September 6 in the Central Botanical Garden of NAS of Belarus «Science Festival – 2025» was held. Every year, organizations of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Ministry of Education participate in it, demonstrating the latest scientific developments in various fields.
This year, PTI NAS of Belarus held master classes on the manufacturing of figures from gypsum for visitors of all ages. In addition, a demonstration of low vacuum layout was presented, a photo zone with various scientific accessories and a series of games on logic, agility, ingenuity and simply knowing the terms.
Within the framework of the science festival, employees of PTI NAS of Belarus also took part in the exhibition-competition «100 innovations of young scientists». The main objective of this exhibition-competition was to identify scientific innovations and innovative developments of young scientists of interest for introduction into the sector of economy with subsequent assistance in promoting these scientific innovations and innovative developments.
Reference: the science festival in Minsk is the largest scientific and popular event in Belarus. During the years of its existence, it has become a major event that introduces Minsk and guests to the capital with the latest developments of scientists and helps to understand new knowledge from the world of science and technology. The festival is held annually with the comprehensive support of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
Head of the laboratory of high-pressure and special alloys of PTI NAS Belarus Pokrovskii Artur visited metallurgical enterprise «Dongying Chenhui Machinery Manufacturing Co» (Dongyin, Shandong Province) and the Bureau of Science and Technology of the Government of the City of Dungin.
The Chinese partners highly appreciated the scientific and production capabilities of PTI NAS Belarus, expressed interest in the creation of a joint laboratory and the participation of specialists of PTI NAS Belarus in the modernization of the metallurgical plant.
On 22 August, representatives of the Institute of Metals Research of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (Shenyang, China) visited PTI NAS of Belarus.
The delegation visited the research and production sites of the institute, in particular the laboratory areas of precision stamping and cross-wedge rolling. The Parties discussed possibilities for further collaboration on the full cycle for producing copper spheres with the use of hot cross-wedge rolling technology.
On the 20th of August PTI NAS of Belarus was visited by representatives of the State Corporation «Rosatom» (Russian Federation) and OОO «Rusatom Bel», headed by the adviser of the General Director of the State Corporation «Rosatom» Rapota Grigorii.
The parties discussed possibilities of cooperation between Russian and Belarusian enterprises in the field of processing lithium-ion batteries, outlined plans for participation in the project of the Federal State «Union-Recycling». The delegation also visited the research and production sites of the institute, in particular the site for research and development of lithium-ion cell processing technology.
On August 18, PTI NAN of Belarus was visited by representatives of OJSC «Belenergoremnaladka», RUP «BelAES» and JSC «Power Machines» (Russia).
The guests visited the chemical-thermal processing production sites, where they were familiarized with the process of ion-plasma nitrogenation. During the visit, the parties discussed prospects for joint work on restoring parts. Cooperation agreement has been reached.
On August 6, a delegation from the Northwestern Polytechnical University (PRC) visited PTI NAS Belarus.
Deputy Director of Production Petrenko Vladimor gave a presentation on the research and production activities of PTI NAS Belarus. Representatives of the Chinese side noted a wide range of possibilities for the institute. Also, the parties identified possible future cooperation vectors.
On 7 August, a memorandum of cooperation between the Northwestern Polytechnical University and PTI NAS of Belarus was officially signed.
On 24 January 2025, as part of the festive events dedicated to the Day of Belarusian Science, the PTI NAS of Belarus held a tour for two groups of BNTU students with the profiling «Materials Science in Mechanical Engineering» and «Digital Metal Science and Heat Treatment».
During the excursion the guests visited the museum, scientific laboratories and production areas of the institute, got acquainted with the research equipment available at the institute and the developments of scientists. They were told about promising fundamental and applied research, about the advantages of further work in the scientific sphere. After the excursion, everyone was able to ask questions.
On 24 January 2025, as part of the festive events dedicated to the Day of Belarusian Science, the PTI NAS of Belarus held a tour for students of the Faculty of Chemical Technology and Technology of the specialty «Electrochemical Production», BSTU.
During the excursion the guests visited the museum, scientific laboratories and production areas of the institute, got acquainted with the research equipment available at the institute and the developments of scientists. They were told about promising fundamental and applied research, about the advantages of further work in the scientific sphere. After the excursion, everyone was able to ask questions.
From July 7 to 10, Deputy Director for Production Vladimir Petrenko was at the 15th International Exhibition «INNOPROM» in Yekaterinburg. More than 1,000 participating companies from China, Kazakhstan, India, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Belarus presented their technological solutions at the main industrial event of the Russian Federation. Saudi Arabia became the partner country of the anniversary exhibition, and the main theme of the exhibition was «Technological Leadership: Industrial Breakthrough».
At the exhibition PTI NAS of Belarus presented a number of developments in the following areas:
– induction heating technologies and equipment;
– ion chemical-thermal treatment technologies and equipment;
– magnetic pulse treatment technologies and equipment;
– lithium-ion cell processing technologies using hydrometallurgy methods;
– cross-wedge rolling.
From July 7 to July 10, 2025, the PTI NAS of Belarus was visited by a delegation from the Beijing Institute of Aeronautical Materials (BIAM).
Members of the Chinese delegation and the Director of the Physical-Technical Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Vitali Zaleski visited the plant of OJSC BELAZ — the management company of the holding company BELAZ-HOLDING, where they paid special attention to various types of high-frequency hardening units developed by the PTI NAS of Belarus and implemented at this enterprise.
As part of the visit, an official signing of a protocol on discussing cooperation between PIAM and the PTI NAS of Belarus took place. Interim results of the implementation of a joint contract in the field of hardening with a pulsed magnetic field were summed up. Plans for further cooperation were outlined.
