More than 100 enterprises, R&D Institutes, commercial companies and firms presented their products: armored vehicles, missile and small weapons, air defence systems, high-technology equipment and systems, ammunitions, optical and electric equipment and others.
PTI NAS of Belarus presented the following developments:
On June 25, 2021, PTI NAS of Belarus hosted representatives of the State Corporation «ROSCOSMOS»:
Within the working session, both sides discussed perspective ways of cooperation in the space field and also visited the manufacturing areas of the Institute.
On June 16, 2021 PTI NAS of Belarus hosted the administration of BelOMO Holding – the director general Alexander Moroz and deputy director general Dmitry Mikhaltsov.
The representatives from BelOMO Holding visited the History Museum of PTI NAS of Belarus, got acquainted with engineering and technological capabilities of the Institute as well as discussed the perspective ways of cooperation: foundry engineering, surface engineering, forming technologies.
On June 4, 2021, PTI NAS of Belarus hosted the delegation from the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (Dubna, Russia).
Within the meeting, the negotiations between the administrations of PTI NAS of Belarus, NAS of Belarus and JINR were held.
Sides discussed the intermediate results of the joint project between PTI NAS of Belarus and JINR on the development and production of superconductive resonator prototypes obtained by electron-beam welding and impact hydroforming methods.
On June 2, 2021, the delegation of PTI NAS of Belarus visited Brest State Technical University. The delegation included:
– Vitali Zaleski – Director of the Institute;
– Igor Smyaglikov – Deputy Director for Science;
– Ivan Vegera – Head of Induction Technologies and Heat Treatment Department, Head of Induction Heating Technologies and Equipment Laboratory;

The meeting was held within the signed cooperation agreement between PTI NAS of Belarus and BrSTU.
Both sides discussed the activities of Applied Mechanics Department branch established at PTI NAS of Belarus, as well as carrying out some joint projects aimed at the development of scientific researches in the field of mechanical engineering.
On April 15, 2021 the industrial ion nitriding machine was placed into service at OJSC «Gomselmash». This is the fourth machine that has been supplied to the enterprise by the Institute’s specialists.
PTI NAS of Belarus and OJSC «Gomselmash» have had a successful cooperation for many years.
The Physical-Technical Institute of NAS of Belarus is one of the few world producers of the equipment for treating parts by ion-plasma thermochemical methods of treatment. The ion thermochemical treatment technology has many significant advantages. Time expenditures and energy costs, environmental load on the environment are significantly reduced. The pollutant emission into the atmosphere is practically excluded. There is a positive effect on the industrial safety. The ion-plasma nitriding excludes such dangerous industrial factors as ammonia and explosive endogas application. They are still used at some enterprises for the development of the technological atmosphere when treating parts in furnaces.
On April 6-9, 2021 PTI NAS of Belarus was taking part in the 20th International Specialized Exhibition «Welding and Cutting 2021» within the annual industrial and engineering forum.
The exhibition was carried out together with the international exhibitions «Metalworking-2021», «LitMetExpo-2021» and «Corrosion protection. Coatings-2021».
More than 109 participants from Belarus, Russia, Germany, China, Italy, Switzerland, Lithuania, Poland, Ukraine, Israel, the Republic of Korea, the United Kingdom, Austria and Japan presented new developments and technologies of their companies in the following fields:
PTI NAS of Belarus presented the following developments: products obtained by additive electron-beam method, metallized roll materials, technologies and equipment of ion thermochemical treatment, composite nanomaterials based on diamond-like carbon.
On 29-31 March, 2021 the XIV International Science and Technology Conference «ADVANCED METHODS AND TECHNOLOGIES OF MATERIALS DEVELOPMENT AND PROCESSING» was held at PTI NAS of Belarus.
This year the conference is held online and divided into four sections:
Within the conference program, researchers from Belarus, Russia, Egypt, China and other countries shared their scientific results.
For reference:
The conference «Advanced methods and technologies of materials development and processing» is held on the basis of State Scientific Institution «The Physical-Technical Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus» since 2006.
Traditionally, over 200 scientists from Russia, Ukraine, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia, Great Britain, Egypt, China and other countries take part in the Conference.
The participant list of the conference also includes specialists from the largest leading enterprises of Belarus such as MAZ, BELAZ, Minsk Tractor Works.
In 2021, a new section «Electromagnetic processing of materials» is carried out within the Conference.
