The sector of hot hydrodynamic extrusion was the original source for the laboratory. The sector was established in 1970 and had a cooperation with the laboratory of plasticity. Then, as a result of multiply changes, the sector was reorganized into the laboratory of close tolerance forging. At the beginning of 2020 the laboratory was united with the laboratory of cross-wedge rolling
