Opening of a new research and production site for high-temperature vacuum heat treatment

A new research and production area for high-temperature vacuum heat treatment was opened today at the Physical-Technical Institute.

The ceremony was attended by Vladimir Gusakov, Chairman of the Presidium of the NAS of Belarus; Nadezhda Lazarevich, First Deputy Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee; Sergei Shcherbakov, Academician-Secretary of the Department of Physical and Technical Sciences of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus; Vitali Zaleski, Director of the PTI NAS of Belarus; and directors of academic institutes.

                                  

The creation of the research and production site is the result of the accumulated experience and successful work of the team of scientists and specialists of PTI NAS of Belarus with the financial support of the Innovation Fund of the Minsk City Executive Committee. The purpose of the new site is to strengthen the interaction between science and production, to develop the scientific and technological potential of the centres of competence of the innovation and technological cluster of industrial technologies Academtechnograd, to improve the reliability and quality of manufactured products.

                                        

The site is equipped with the main and auxiliary equipment necessary for implementation of full-fledged industrial technologies and is intended for demonstration and testing of technologies of vacuum heat treatment of metal and alloy products in the interests of machine-building enterprises.
