From 26 to 28 June 2023 PHYSICAL-TECHNICAL INSTITUTE of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus took part in the Tenth Forum of the Regions of Belarus and Russia, which was held in Ufa.

The Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia is one of the most significant events in the sphere of bilateral relations between Russia and Belarus. Every year, the forum is attended not only by leading enterprises and public organizations, but also by representatives of state authorities and the leadership of the two countries.

PHYSICAL-TECHNICAL INSTITUTE presented information on the latest developments in the field of energy-efficient technologies and induction heating equipment, technologies for processing lithium-ion cells using hydrometallurgy methods, ion chemical-thermal processing technologies and diamond-like carbon coatings. Also at the exhibition were presented information materials about biocompatible coatings on titanium implants and  artificial heart valves.

A meeting was organized between Igor Petrovich Smyaglikov, Deputy Director for Research, and Kamil Nurullaevich Ramazanov, President of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Bashkortostan, during which they discussed current issues of cooperation, as well as prospects for joint work in the field of applying thin-film coatings to metalworking tools.
