From February 16 to 19, Gomel hosted an exhibition of scientific and technological achievements “Intellectual Belarus. Regions”. Residents of the Gomel region were the first to get acquainted with the unique exhibits developed by Belarusian scientists. A large-scale playground was opened in the Palace of Athletics. For the convenience of visitors, it was divided into thematic clusters: artificial intelligence, IT technologies, robotics, innovative instrumentation, electric transport, defense and military science. More than 600 exhibits were presented at the exhibition. Among them are full-scale samples (including large-sized equipment), mock-ups and even food.

Physicotechnical Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus took an active part in the exhibition and presented the following developments in two clusters: “Pharmacy. Healthcare. Medicine” and “Industry 4.0”:

– manufacturing technologies for forgings of endoprostheses of the knee and hip joints;

– innovative technology for the processing of lithium-ion cells;

– samples of parts hardened using the technology of ion chemical-thermal treatment (nitriding);

– a sample of a cast knife for the harvester head, made according to our own technology;

– samples of the applied coating on the surface of polymer roll materials.

The regional exhibition is a continuation of the large-scale exposition of the achievements of Belarusian science “Intellectual Belarus”, held in Minsk from January 20 to 27, organized by the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

Physical-Technical Institute will continue its further participation in the exhibition “Intellectual Belarus. Regions” in all planned regional centers, the presented developments will be able to see everyone.
