On January 2022, Vladimir Petrenko (Deputy Head of the Department of Special Technologies For Material Pressure Processing of PhTI NAS of Belarus) and Ming Cheng (Associate Professor of Institute of Metal Research of the Chinese Academy of Sciences) were awarded the International Partnership Award of the Chinese Academy of Sciences for Young Scientists !

PhTI NAS of Belarus and Institute of Metal Research of the Chinese Academy of Sciences of Belarus cooperates in the field of the development of the special technology for rolling heavily-deformed ferrous-nickel alloys applied in the aircraft industry as well as in the design of a new equipment type for cross-wedge rolling of sheet materials. In 2017 the joint research laboratory – The Advanced Metal Forming Technologies Laboratory between PhTI NAS of Belarus and IMR, CAS, was established. Nowadays, it successfully operates within the international partnership.

The International Partnership Award of the Chinese Academy of Sciences for Young Scientists was established in 2011 in recognition of significant results of young foreign scientists and their Chinese partners within the international scientific and technical cooperation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
